till we meet again-
the man around town-
MAXI IN DA GHETTO!
live it dont give in be original even if you arent-make your mamma PROUD.
so a few months i went to the dark yet arty side of cape town-woodstock.
walked into an underground bar-forgotten its name, but wow it was amazing.
dark,narrow,with old photos on the wall and old wooden floors. There was a long bar on the one side all mirrored with beautiful looking boys serving and on the other a small stage with deep red velvet curtains.in the middle of the stage was a FREAK dj-ing-I'm no discriminator but that's what they are known as/called,he was brilliant rather scary looking but lots of fun. The bathroom with a bright pink-one for boys and girlie's.While i was sitting peeing i made friends with an interesting boy, who had long dark hair tattoos and mmmm style i say! Everyone there had style.from air forces and lumo tshirts to beautiful vintage dresses and leather jackets.
anyway-
the reason i was there was because there was a gathering-a gathering of all MAX NORMAL fans.
He is a genius-rap raver,cant explain chchchchch chch ch check him out!
Loud music,he was a brilliant performer.played all sorts of characters,stage diving,stripping-
it was a night of ALL!
he had a drink with alot of us.and jesus was one funny character.that's one night that i will never forget.
that was also the last time i saw my good friend Chris Elliot, he passed in a car accident a few days later-a good friend and the funniest guy i have ever met.He lit up the room and made people feel they were someone.you know what i mean.ah i miss you chrizzle.!
it wasnt your time!
Max normal had met chris that night and loved him,his humour and chirizma and felt a closeness.
I mean i think after anyone trys to hump you while your trying to preform on stage you feel some kind of closeness:)
well when max found out about chris he actually turned up at his memorial in Cap Town Llandudno and spoke.true!
i love you and will never forget you.in your very own words-"AHOY-till we meet again"
