till we meet again-
the man around town-
MAXI IN DA GHETTO!
live it dont give in be original even if you arent-make your mamma PROUD.
so a few months i went to the dark yet arty side of cape town-woodstock.
walked into an underground bar-forgotten its name, but wow it was amazing.
dark,narrow,with old photos on the wall and old wooden floors. There was a long bar on the one side all mirrored with beautiful looking boys serving and on the other a small stage with deep red velvet curtains.in the middle of the stage was a FREAK dj-ing-I'm no discriminator but that's what they are known as/called,he was brilliant rather scary looking but lots of fun. The bathroom with a bright pink-one for boys and girlie's.While i was sitting peeing i made friends with an interesting boy, who had long dark hair tattoos and mmmm style i say! Everyone there had style.from air forces and lumo tshirts to beautiful vintage dresses and leather jackets.
anyway-
the reason i was there was because there was a gathering-a gathering of all MAX NORMAL fans.
He is a genius-rap raver,cant explain chchchchch chch ch check him out!
Loud music,he was a brilliant performer.played all sorts of characters,stage diving,stripping-
it was a night of ALL!
he had a drink with alot of us.and jesus was one funny character.that's one night that i will never forget.
that was also the last time i saw my good friend Chris Elliot, he passed in a car accident a few days later-a good friend and the funniest guy i have ever met.He lit up the room and made people feel they were someone.you know what i mean.ah i miss you chrizzle.!
it wasnt your time!
Max normal had met chris that night and loved him,his humour and chirizma and felt a closeness.
I mean i think after anyone trys to hump you while your trying to preform on stage you feel some kind of closeness:)
well when max found out about chris he actually turned up at his memorial in Cap Town Llandudno and spoke.true!
i love you and will never forget you.in your very own words-"AHOY-till we meet again"

Please mommy!
i dreamed of these shoes last night and the night before and the night before and the night before ! If you know a place where i can get my hands on them-TELL ME.

Mathangi Arulpragasam-M.I.A, she is blasting on MTV and radio stations all over the world.WHY?
She is simply a terrorist, advertising the tamil tigers-in a good way.
Basically every single one of her songs is pro war.It saddens me that people that dont know any better or dont really care are listening to her beats, pouring more money into the regime.
M.I.A-(missing in action) is a tamil girl that grew up in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka now living in London/New York, her father Arul Pragasam-an active member of the terrorist group- Tamil Tigers, also known as the LTTE.So yes she is fighting and singing for what she believes in,what she has been brought up knowing is right. But in my opinion, it is simply wrong.Watch her music video-Sunshowers-
she is in a jungle playing with a tiger.The song is about a female suicide bomber and how her troubles are now all over you,she descibes the blowing up of the bomb like a sun shower.
Her style is brilliant, dont get me wrong- but if you look carefully you will realize that most of her clothes are some sort of tiger print.She also use to do art work - graffiti- and once again was pro war with images of tigers and blood.Common open up your eyes people.STOP!paperplanes isnt even that cool a song anyway.
